A Personal Account of the 2010 Skiing/Snowboarding Trip
Over the Martin Luther King holiday break, the CRIMP/Outdoor Adventure Club went on a trip to Winterplace, W.Va. Kenny Tien, director of Campus Recreation and Intramurals, did a great job organizing the trip and making sure everyone had everything they needed.
The trip was an all inclusive three night stay and all day skiing for two days. I have never been skiing before in my life, and when I got there I had to take a class. The instructors were nice and very helpful. After a few minor falls, I was skiing like a pro.
It is because of CRIMP that I got to experience skiing (even night skiing) for the first time in my life. I also saw the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, swam the a heated indoor pool, and relaxed in the sauna after a long day of skiing. It was great to make so many new friends and create lifelong memories that will stay warm in my heart forever.
The ski trip was definitely worthwhile. My best friend, Katelyn Jarrell, is already asking "So, when do we sign up for the next trip?
