The Army ROTC Program here at Methodist welcomes all of you to come out and see what we do and how we interact within the program.
The program as a whole consists of training cadets on Methodist’s campus to be future officers in today's army. The training consists of many different events including physical fitness, land navigation, and training cadets on how to conduct future wartime and peacetime missions. Cadets train on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Nimocks Fitness Center. On Thursdays they train for combat in preparation of what they will face in today’s army.
In the program we have wonderful leaders here at Methodist University: Lieutenant Colonel Robbins, Assistance Military Science Professor and Sergeant First Class Shepard, Military Science Instructor, who served in the army for over 15 years and has the experience and knowledge that can be shared with you.
The ROTC also has a recruiting table set-up inside Berns Student Center at least once a week. Please feel free to come out and ask questions especially ones in regards to the scholarships we have to offer. The scholarships consist of 2 year, 3 year, and 4 year scholarships. We have pamphlets in the main ROTC office.
We will be hosting a Veteran's Day ceremony in front of the flag pole by the Horner Administration Building. Please come out and join us on November 11at 7 am.
